My friends Chris and Jenna are lovely, kind and have a great sense of humour. They laugh at my jokes which makes me feel good about myself.
They also have a lovely family. Their youngest, Paul, was born with a heart condition and had to endure heart surgery at the tender age of two. At six, Paul now needs further treatment and surgery this coming July.
I cannot fathom the emotions the whole family must be enduring. I obviously cannot help on many fronts ( as you can tell by my writing, my education was limited), but I can ride a bike and encourage others to donate to such a great cause that directly affects the care Paul gets.
So in Paul's name, I'll participate in the 2023 "Triple Crown for Heart," benefiting the BC Children's Hospital Foundation and Children's Heart Network. Three mountains in one day on a bicycle. Nothing compared to what Paul and other kids have to go through.
Donations of $20 or more will receive a charitable donation tax receipt at the end of the year. Thanks for your consideration of support for this most worthy cause!
