For most of my childhood, I had dislocated kneecaps that significantly impaire my mobility and quality of life. I was fortunate enough to undergo surgery from Dr. Reilly at BC Children's Hosptial that dramatically changed my life. I was inactive, overweight, and mad at the world. Thanks to Childrens I'm now relatively healthy, active, and only mad at the government.
Post surgery was when I was suggested to get into cycling by Dr. Reilly and I haven't looked back since. Completing this event and giving back to Childrens for other kids in need is a "coming full circle" moment for me, and one that I know would make the old Alex proud.
On July 15th I will tackle all three North Shore Mountains (Seymour, Grouse and Cypress) by bike in the 11th annual Triple Crown for Heart. The ride benefits the BC Children's Hospital Heart Unit and Children's Heart Network to send kids to Camp Zajac.
Donations of $20 or more will receive a charitable donation tax receipt at the end of the year. Thanks for your consideration of support for this most worthy cause!
